Livestock · Equine

Stall cleanout, bedding, manure piles and indoor arenas, with a machine quiet enough to work around horses.

Short answer

The STAG Beetle 100 suits equestrian facilities because it is quiet and produces no exhaust. STAG lists it under 70 to 75 dBA. It mucks out stalls and aisles, moves shavings, turns manure piles and works indoor arenas where engine exhaust would hang in the air. Remote control lets the operator stand clear.

Jobs it fits

Stalls and aisles. Clean out stalls, sweep aisles and haul to the manure pile.

Bedding. Deliver bulk shavings from the storage bay to stalls.

Manure management. Turn and load compost piles.

Arenas. Move and level footing with a bucket or a mini loader rake. Inside an enclosed arena, no exhaust is a real advantage.

Working around horses

Horses react to engine noise and vibration. A machine you can talk over, and run by remote from the end of the aisle, is easier on the barn. Take the same care as with any machine and keep horses out of the work area.

Questions

Will it fit down my barn aisle and into stalls?

On narrow tracks it is 35.6 in. wide and clears a 36 in. door. Measure your stall doors; many are wider, but older barns vary.

Where should I charge it on the farm?

Any standard 110V/15A outlet charges it in about 8 hours. Use a properly rated GFCI circuit in a dry spot, and have an electrician check barn wiring before you plan on nightly charging.
