Short answer
The STAG Beetle 100 fits bedded hoop barns, solid-floor pens and supply handling on hog operations. It adds no engine exhaust to buildings where ammonia often already runs above 25 ppm. In slatted-floor confinement barns, loader work is mostly limited to moving supplies.
Jobs it fits
Hoop barns and bedded pens. Clean out bedding pack and spread fresh bedding.
Solid-floor pens and alleys. Scrape and haul out manure.
Supplies. Move feed, bedding and equipment through center alleys. Narrow tracks clear a standard 36 in. door.
Barn gases
Canadian studies cited in the livestock-barn factsheet report ammonia above 25 ppm in many swine barns. Hydrogen sulfide spikes during manure agitation; its 8-hour limit is 10 ppm. An electric loader does nothing about manure gases, but it adds no carbon monoxide. Ventilate, and stay out of the barn when pits are agitated.

Questions
Where should I charge it on the farm?
Any standard 110V/15A outlet charges it in about 8 hours. Use a properly rated GFCI circuit in a dry spot, and have an electrician check barn wiring before you plan on nightly charging.
