Applications · Horticulture and specialty crops

Moving media, pots, pallets and root balls in places where engine exhaust hurts the crop and visitors hear every machine.

Short answer

The STAG Beetle 100 works well in greenhouses and nurseries because it produces no combustion exhaust near plants. It offers white non-marking tracks for concrete floors and fits a 36 in. door on narrow tracks. On orchard and vineyard floors, wide tracks spread its 3,240 lb over more ground. Pallet forks, buckets and grapples connect through the standard CII plate.

Exhaust and crops

Growers have long known that combustion exhaust in a closed house can damage plants. Incomplete combustion releases ethylene, which can cause leaf drop, flower abortion and early ripening at very low concentrations. Indoors, a battery machine removes that source along with carbon monoxide.

Jobs it fits

Greenhouses

Move growing media, pallets of pots and flats, and spent material. White non-marking tracks keep concrete aisles clean. The 35.6 in. narrow-track width clears 36 in. doors.

Nurseries

Load and set balled-and-burlapped stock, move container stock on pallets and load customer trucks. Check root-ball weight against the 1,090 lb rated capacity before you lift.

Orchards and vineyards

Spread mulch and compost, set posts with an auger, and clear prunings with a grapple. Wide tracks lower ground pressure on wet row middles. Tracks can be swapped without undercarriage adjustment.

Farm markets and agritourism

Restock, move pallets and clean up while customers are on site. Under 70 to 75 dBA, staff can keep working through open hours.
