Owner’s guide · Battery
A 24 kWh pack, a charger built into the machine, and a wall outlet. That’s the whole charging setup.
Short answer
The STAG Beetle 100 carries a 24 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery rated for about an 8-hour workday. Its onboard charger fills it from a standard 110V/15A outlet in about 8 hours, or in about 3 to 4 hours with the optional 6.6 kW charger. STAG rates the pack at 80% capacity after 3,000 full cycles.
Why LiFePO4
STAG’s founders say their prototypes used a 14 kWh lithium-ion pack and they switched to a larger LiFePO4 pack partly for safety. Lithium iron phosphate chemistry is generally more resistant to thermal runaway than other lithium-ion types. The pack is fixed inside the machine rather than swappable, because, the founders say, swappable packs were getting damaged.
Charging options
- 110V/15A outlet: about 8 hours, built-in charger.
- 6.6 kW fast charging: about 3 to 4 hours. Fast chargers of this size typically need a 240V circuit; confirm the requirement with your dealer.
- Generator: STAG says a jobsite generator works.
What a charge costs
A full 24 kWh charge at STAG’s default commercial rate of $0.1453 per kWh costs about $3.49. STAG estimates 3.0 kWh per working hour.
Cold weather
STAG has not published cold-weather ratings. LiFePO4 cells generally should not be charged below freezing without heating. Store and charge in a heated space.
Battery health
Telematics report battery health. The battery warranty is 3 years or 3,000 hours.

Questions
Where should I charge it on the farm?
Any standard 110V/15A outlet charges it in about 8 hours. Use a properly rated GFCI circuit in a dry spot, and have an electrician check barn wiring before you plan on nightly charging.
